GVK Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport has launched India’s first indoor navigation application with an augmented reality feature for the convenience of passengers travelling through Terminal 2. The T2 App will assist passengers with an interactive walk-through experience where passengers can download this app from any location.
The app plays a complete navigation guide with user-friendly technology, helping passengers locate anything at the airport at the push of a button. This app connects directly to the flight information system in the airport to provide flight status updates and changes in departure time through a simple timely notification starting a day prior to the flight. It also creates magnetically modeled maps and provides location-based information. With the same, the passenger will be able to locate any room, area or shop that is situated on the airport premises. It will be updated in a phase-wise manner.
