BMC chief earns Chief Minister’s praise for making whole building proposal online

Congratulating the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) chief Ajoy Mehta for achieving success in making the whole building proposal system online in a stipulated time frame, chief minister Devendra Fadnavis said that the next step is to integrate all the government of India schemes on the digital platform.

The BMC, in a citizen friendly move and to bring transparency in the real estate sector, implemented its proposal to take the entire building proposal system online where it will upload all the building approval plans from the date of the particular project getting the Commencement Certificate to Occupation Certificate. One needs to log in at the BMC’s website, and enter the CTS (cadastral survey number) that helps one identify a particular plot. With it one is also expected to enter the ward name and after entering the basic details, the user can find out if the development that has been proposed or already constructed has the required permissions by the building proposal department of the BMC.

Commenting on the same, CM Fadnavis tweeted on Thursday appreciating the BMC’s achievement of bringing all permissions and Development Control Regulations (DCR) on a digital platform under the Right To Services Act.
