Air India holds surprise checks to ensure security
To ensure better than ever safety and security, Air India is now conducting surprise checks in all its departments. The surprise checks include all aircrafts of the airline and is conducted using a new system called SMS (Safety Management System) under which departments like management, admin and ground has been integrated.
Chief of flight safety in Air India Harpreet AD Singh while talking to The Asian Age, confirmed the same. “Since last few months safety aspect has become more strong and now airline is seeing fewer cases of safety violations,” she said. Ms Singh was present in the 111th birth anniversary celebration of JRD Tata in Taj Land’s End. During the celebration Dr Shriniwas Dwarikanath, MD of Airbus, said, “Every 15 years air traffic doubles, and in 2033 we will see almost four times the traffic we see now. In the coming years our domestic traffic will increase to at least 9.7 per cent,” he added.
