As a part of ‘ease of doing business’ measures, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has offered a facility under which the licence of shops can be renewed and registered online and through a mobile application.
The online service to renew and register shops and establishment licences will, accordingly, be available on the website www.portal.mcgm.gov.in. The website can also be used to download the MCGM 24x7 mobile application free of cost.
According to the civic officials, the state, as per the Maharashtra State and Establishments Act 1948 has directed civic bodies to amend various rules and regulations for renewal and registration of shops and establishment licences.
Apart from this facility, the services for renewal and registration of shops and establishment licences will also be available in ward-level citizen facilitation centres (CFCs) from 8 am to 8 pm, said a civic official.
