A 45-year-old man was arrested by the Malabar Hill police on the charges of molestation and threatening a woman and her husband with dire consequences. The accused, Pappi Saini runs a shop in Chandralok shopping center at Nepean Sea road in Malabar Hill. He also claims to be a ward president of a national political party. According to the police, the 28-year-old victim is a married woman and stays with her husband in Malabar Hill area. The accused had been following her daily and often passed vulgar comments at her on the road, police said. The victim said Saini called another employee of the shop where she works and asked him to give details about her, as he had started liking her. The victim ignored him initially but he later started following her while she came to her office and also while she left the workplace. Saini also abused and threatened the victim’s husband when he was confronted for his acts, police said.
