3 accused in Kandivali firing held in Nagpur
The Nagpur police has arrested three accused in a firing incident that happened in Kandivali last month Friday morning following a tip-off by the Kandivali police.
The Nagpur police has arrested three accused in a firing incident that happened in Kandivali last month Friday morning following a tip-off by the Kandivali police. The accused also had a few cases registered against them in Nagpur, so the local police has taken their custody and will then transfer them to Mumbai.
The firing incident in Kandivali had happened on November 5, when a trader was shot on his hand and leg. One of the five accused, Naved Parmar, was arrested in November while the others were on the run.
The other three accused have been identified as Shoaib Shaukat Mansoori alias Haji, Sanjay Kumar Mohan and Rahul Pawar. Police is now searching for one more accused in the incident.
A senior police official from the Kandivali police station said that Pawar and Mansoori shot the bullets at the trader.
According to officials, Mohan has two cases registered against him, while Pawar has 12 cases registered against him. Mansoori has as many as 22 cases registered against him. All these repeat offenders, including Parmar were imprisoned in the Thane jail once and being inmates had become friends.
The incident had taken place around 2.45 pm in Shankar Lane of Kandivali when Dashaksh Shah and his colleague Deepak Vora were returning from an angadia firm with '25,000 in cash. As the angadia was closed, they decided to go back home back on the scooter. On the way back, they were stopped by the motorcycle-borne youths, who tried to snatch his bag containing money. Shah tried to resist them, so one of them pulled out a pistol and fired at Shah’s hand.
