2 more of Chhagan Bhujbal’s properties attached
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Tuesday attached two more properties of NCP leader Chhagan Bhujbal in a money laundering case.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Tuesday attached two more properties of NCP leader Chhagan Bhujbal in a money laundering case. Sources said that more properties would be attached in the coming months.
The properties worth Rs 110 crore are in the name of Parvesh Group. The building and land at Santa Cruz and land near Saint Morgan Road in Bandra is owned by Parvesh Constructions in which Bhujbal and his relatives were directors.
Confirming the development, an ED official said, “After investigations, we have seized the properties at Santa Cruz and Bandra. Further investigation is on and we will soon take action against remaining properties in Mumbai, as well as other cities in Maharashtra.”
The ED has previously attached land in Kharghar worth Rs160-crore owned by Pankaj and Samir Bhujbal, son and nephew of the senior NCP leader. The property is 97,000 square metres in area and in the name of Devisha Infrastructure, Navi Mumbai.
A few months ago, the ED registered two cases against Mr Bhujbal under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act and the Economic Case Information Reports. The cases relate to the Maharashtra Sadan scam, the Kalina land allotment case and the FIR against the leader in a housing project at Navi Mumbai wherein the developer had collected 10 per cent of the total flat cost as booking token.
The ED conducted raids in the afternoon at Mr Bhujbal’s residence and offices in connection with his alleged involvement in the money laundering case. Assuring that he would cooperate with the ED, Bhujbal said that revenge politics should not be played.“A new inquiry committee has been appointed after reports of a clean chit to me emerged. What was the need for a new committee when a judicial inquiry is on But, I will cooperate with the ED and give them whatever information is needed,” Bhujbal told reporters after the raids.
Earlier this week, it was reported that an internal report prepared by the public works department had given Bhujbal a clean chit in the Maharashtra Sadan scam. However, chief minister Devendra Fadnavis clarified in the Legislative Assembly that no clean chit was given and various authorities were still probing the matter.
“I hope action is not taken for revenge. Vengeance politics should not be played. I have nothing to do with any property,” Bhujbal said.
