Shiv Sena questions CM's declaration of 72k govt jobs
Mumbai: The Shiv Sena has slammed Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadnavis over his announcement related to appointments for 72,000 posts, and has raised the issue of the state government’s earlier announcement about providing jobs to 20 lakh unemployed youth in five years.
Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray criticised Mr Fadnavis, saying that the latter always made such announcements to save himself and never acted on them.
The Sena criticism comes on the back of Mr Fadnavis’ announcement to fill 72,000 vacancies in two years to assuage anger over the ban on government recruitments.
Agitations were held recently by MPSC aspirants. Panning Mr Fadnavis, the editorial in Sena mouthpiece Saamana said, “What will happen to lakhs of unemployed youths.
Mr Fadnavis had announced that employment would be provided to 20 lakh youth in five years. What happened to it and how many got a job?”
