MUMBAI: The blind eye turned by the civic administration towards complaints in context to massive digging work in the vicinity is being blamed for cracks that had led to the evacuation of three entire buildings- Aman, Amitabh and Madhuri- in the Green Wood complex of Hatkesh in Kashimira on Tuesday.

Meanwhile another building-Shahrukh was also sealed, taking the total number of evacuated families to eighty. It has been alleged that excavation undertaken by Lodha Builders for an under construction project was the reason behind the damage to the structure and wide wall.

However, representatives from the construction firm who visited the main administrative office of MBMC in Bhayandar to meet the Mayor and civic officials flatly refused to comment on the issue.
