Amit Shah to attend final rally of CM Fadnavis's yatra
Ahead of the Assembly election, the state BJP unit has organised Mahajanadesh Yatra in the state.

Mumbai: Union home minister and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah will attend the concluding rally of chief minister Devendra Fadnavis’ Mahajanadesh Yatra in Solapur on September 1, a party leader said on Wednesday.
Ahead of the Assembly election, the state BJP unit has organised Mahajanadesh Yatra in the state. Chief minister is currently on the second leg of his mass outreach programme, which will conclude in Solapur on Sunday.
State BJP general secretary Sujitsingh Thakur, in-charge of organising the yatra, said that Mr Shah has confirmed that he would be attending the valedictory rally of yatra.
“The rally is planned in Solapur on September 1. Mr Shah will attend the rally and also hold a meeting with the state BJP leaders,” he said.
Following the BJP’s Yatra, the Congress and NCP, too, had undertaken similar yatras.
On Monday, addressing a rally as part of his yatra in Ahmednagar, Mr Fadnavis said the BJP-led NDA will continue to remain in power for another 25 years as people have understood “arrogance of power” of the Congress and the NCP.
He earlier said his Mahajanadesh Yatra (mega mandate march) is aimed at giving an account to people of the state what the BJP-led government did in last five years. Mr Fadnavis started his mass contact programme from Amravati district in Vidarbha region on August 1.
Last week, chief minister had said that NCP had also organised Yatra. How much response, they were getting. All of them are aware of it. He claimed that the BJP has tradition to organise such Yatra. There is no need to comment on the NCP’s yatra. He also said that he did not know whether the Congress had organised such yatra or not.
According to the BJP, the purpose of this Yatra is to give an account to people of the state what its government did in last five years.
Chief minister had started his yatra from Amravati district in Vidarbha region on August 1.
