MUMBAI: The Amboli police are yet to make any arrest in the Versova car accident case. On Monday a Jaguar car driven by accused Hitesh Golccha had rammed into several vehicles near Versova’s SVP Nagar, injuring two persons.

Though police have recorded the statements of the injured and four eye-witnesses they claim that Golccha, who was chased and assaulted by a mob after the accident has been hospitalised.  The police is likely to arrest him once he gets declared fit by medicos.

 In the light of the Jaguar car accident, Mumbai police’s Twitter handle too warned netizens to drive carefully and not end up on the wrong side of law.

 According to the sources in Amboli police station, the accused, who is still recuperating in the hospital after a mob chased and attacked him leaving him with injuries on the head and back, is not ready to talk to the police since he is in a bad shape. The police, however, are waiting for the doctor’s ‘go’ call to make the arrests.

The reports stating the alcohol content in his blood is yet to be submitted to the police, which is further delaying the process. Meanwhile, the Amboli police have recorded the statements of the two injured persons, who have alleged that Golccha was speeding and rammed their respective cars from behind.
