Mumbai: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has initiated post-result counseling for students and parents in distress after the results. Teachers on the other hand have asked all average scorers and those who could not score well in the exams to relax saying “life does not end here!”

Lata Mohanan, a senior retired professor of a CBSE school, said, “There are many parents and children who think that life ends here when students cannot score like ‘their friends or neighbours did’.”

“Parents should try to uplift and motivate them to do better in life instead of criticising for not scoring better grades,” she said.

D.K. Chatterjee, another professor from a Navi-Mumbai based school, said, “Exams are like opportunities. If one goes, there is always another one which comes knocking at your door. Students should look for new opportunities instead of crying over lost ones. I would only advise the students and their parents to accept the challenges and keep preparing for future.”
