Mumbai: Rahul Gandhi declared that no single farmer of this country would be sent to jail if he fails to repay bank loan. Mr Gandhi was addressing a rally at Sangamner near Ahmednagar District.

He also promised to make separate budget for farmers if his government comes into power this election.

Mr Gandhi said that when he along with his party leaders had met farmers, they asked him, how come Anil Ambani, Mehul Choksi, Nirav Modi and Vijay Mallya are still roaming freely without repaying the bank loans of thousands of crore of rupees but a farmer is immediately sent to jail if he fails to repay loan of Rs 20000. Farmers had requested him to do something about it.

Mr Gandhi in his speech emphasized that due to demonetisations and wrong implementation of GST, 27000 youth of this country are losing job everyday. He also alleged that main work of the Central government is to provide jobs and strengthen farmers of the country and the Modi led government has completely failed on these grounds. If you can't give jobs, country will never grow said Mr Gandhi.

He further said, “I had called economists of this country and asked them how much money we could deposit in poor people's account without affecting the economy of the country. So after research they said Rs 72000 could be deposited every year in 25 lakh people's account.” Mr Gandhi said instead of depositing money in 15 people's account we will deposit it in 25 lakh people's account.

He also reminded that Congress party had waived off farmers loan when Congress party came into the power in Punjab, Chhatisgarh, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh.

Mr Gandhi alleged that Mr Modi had waived off loan of rupees five lakh crore for Anil Ambani, Nirav Modi, Mehul Cho-ksi and Vijay Mallya.

Mr Gandhi reiterated that Rafael plane deal was done by Prime minister office to send Rs 30,000 crore in Anil Ambani's bank account.

He further alleged that Mr Modi brought money in to the bank after implementing demonetisations and that the same money was given to people like Anil Ambani, Vijay Mallya and Nirav Modi.

Mr Gandhi made it clear that Congress doesn't make false promises and whatever statements are being made on the stage at the rally are being made responsibly. Eventually he appealed people to vote for Congress-NCP.
