Teacher molests 3-year-old, arrested
The arrest was made late on Wednesday, hours after a case was registered by the victim’s parents.
MUMBAI: The Samata Nagar police has arrested a 50-year-old teacher for allegedly molesting a minor girl at a Kandivli preschool. The arrest was made late on Wednesday, hours after a case was registered by the victim’s parents. The teacher, whose name h-
as been kept under wraps, is accused of touching the girl inappropriately on Tuesday.
According to the police, the victim is three-years-and-five-months old. Following the incident, the victim shared her ordeal with her mother, who then approached the Samta Nagar police station, following which the police registered a case. The complaint says that the teacher held the minor’s hand and then touched her inappropriately.
The accused teacher has been booked under relevant sections of the IPC for molestation and relevant sections of the POCSO Act.
Subhash Vele, assistant commisisoner of police of the Samata Nagar division, said, “The arrest has been made, and no further details can be shared considering the
sensitive nature of thi case.”
