Mumbai: The Shiv Sena gave a financial aid of Rs 50,000 and seeds to a Buldhana farmer, whose wife was allegedly asked to perform sexual favours by a bank manager in return for clearing a crop loan. Rajesh Hivase, the accused branch manager of a Central Bank of India branch in Buldhana district, was recently booked for the offence.

Hivase had allegedly sought the woman’s contact details, ostensibly to process the loan, after which he called her and allegedly used obscene language, according to the complaint registered by the police. Later, Hivase sent a peon to the woman’s home, asking her to comply with his demands. The peon allegedly told the woman that Hivase would clear the required farm loan and also extend benefits under a special package if she agreed.

Both the accused are absconding. Shiv Sena leader and spokesperson Neelam Gorhe met the women offered financial aid of Rs 50,000 on behalf of the party. “Shiv Sena has provided seeds and other assistance to the family and extended all help to them,” said
Ms Gorhe.
