Hotel body seeks nixing of dry days

Mumbai: The Kashimira Hotel Association (KHA) has moved court, seeking cancellation of “dry days” in their district for the upcoming Palghar Lok Sabha bypoll.

The Palghar byelection is all set for a spillover effect in the adjacent Thane district, as the administration has declared “dry days” in some parts of the Kashimira-Mira Road stretch that fall within five km of the border of the poll-bound region. As per information sourced from the excise wing, orders have been issued to 58 liquor vending establishments.
