MUMBAI: Yet again, the Mumbai University has disappointed its students. Earlier this week, the Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) examinations were postponed and now, the same has been done with second-year Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) exams. However, the last three exams have been postponed to after the Diwali vacations. Meanwhile, angry students want the varsity to continue with the previous dates.
“Initially, these exams were conducted before the vacation commenced but now suddenly, we got a circular which said that the last three exams were being pushed after the vacations. Many of us had planned to move out of the city owing to the vacation but now everything has been ruined and looks like we have to study throughout the vacations,” said a student who wished to be anonymous. As per the new schedule, the last three exams of semester 3 second-year B.Com. will be held from November 15 to 20. “It would be better if the university considered our situation for once and continued with the exams as they were instead of having this huge break in between,” said another student.
Papers including Foundation Course 3, Foundation Course NSS 3, Foundation Course NCC 3, and Foundation Course Physical Education 3 have been rescheduled to November 15 from the earlier October 26. As per the circular issued by the MU dated October 22, the time and the venue will remain the same.S.Y.B.Com examinations are all set to begin Wednesday in all MU-affiliated colleges.
