Mumbai: The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has formed ward-wise team to look into the complainants’ grievances and to ensure proper implementation of the law regarding goat sacrifice on Bakri Eid. The BMC on Tuesday told the Bombay high court that the civic body had revised its online mechanism and made it more stringent.

“All applicants would be required to submit copies of valid ID cards and address proof to seek such permission for goat sacrifice. Applicants would also have to comply with the BMC conditions on carrying out the slaughter within a confined space, and following civic body’s directions on waste collection, and disposal,” said a BMC official.
