Mumbai: Several city residents are flocking to churches, post-work, for practising Christmas carols in churches for the special eve of 24th December. Ushering in the festive mood are church choirs in the city with their repertoire of evergreen and traditional Christmas hymns that evoke the joy for the season started their practise.

Talking to this paper, bank employee Cecilia Rodricks said,“ After a huge tiring day we come here and practise with our choir.”

Samuel D’souza, who works with an IT firm  said, “In most churches, the practice for Christmas starts months in advance. Once it begins, the singers and musicians are expected to report regularly for the sessions.”
