Mumbai: The Matheran police has sent samples of Mast Daga's (17) body to the forensic science laboratory (FSL) at Kalina to ascertain the cause of his death, whether he was under the influence of drugs at the time of the incidence. The teenager reportedly went missing on Monday after he did not turn up at St Xavier's College nor returned home that evening. A day later, his body was found in the creek at Matheran hill station.

Daga's post-mortem, conducted by the Matheran police, revealed that his death was due to cardiac arrest and multiple fractures. Police officers have sent Daga's body samples to FSL. A police officer said, "We have got the post-mortem report and later, a detailed report from the doctor. But the Daga family has requested we further investigate the cause of his death. We have sent his body and blood samples to FSL on Saturday. We also need details about how he suffered a cardiac arrest and whether he had eaten or drunk something that causes heart attack. We are expecting the result in fifteen days."
