Man tries to kidnap four-year-old, held

Mumbai: In another case of kidnapping in Ghatkopar, a man tried to kidnap a four-year-old boy who was playing near his house with other kids. His uncle, who had seen an unknown man leading his nephew away, chased the accused and rescued the boy.

The Ghatkopar police said they are interrogating the accused and probing his past record.

According to Ghatkopar police, “the accused identified as Nathuram Yadav, seems to be drug addict. The victim Ashwin Shrivastav, was playing when the accused allegedly lured the boy with chocolate and tried to take him home.”

Police further added, “child’s uncle Aditya Shrivastav was told by his friend that some unknown person took Ashwin when Aditya took bike and started searching for the man. After 15 minutes he saw his nephew with a man. He held the accused and brought to the police station.”

Gharkopar Senior PI, Vyankat Patil said, “We have arrested the accused and we are investigating the motive behind the kidnapping. He has been booked under sections of the IPC that deals with kidnapping.”
