Mumbai: Attacking the Congress President Rahul Gandhi, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and state chief minister Devendra Fadnavis on Sunday said that before daily soaps commence on television a disclaimer stating all characters are fictitious is displayed on screen. Similarly, before the beginning of Rahul Gandhi’s speech a disclaimer stating that his speech is fictitious and not related to reality whatsoever would be displayed on screen soon.

Mr. Fadnavis made this comment at Amravati while campaigning for Shiv Sena-BJP alliance candidate Anandrao Adsul.

Meanwhile Mr Fadnavis had a bad experience at Amravati as people gave him a cold shoulder by waving black flags and also shouted slogans against the ruling parties.

He was shown black flags by dam-affected people in Amravati. Amidst his peech, people shouted slogans that led to a stressful situation at the rally.

The BJP leader said that the Congress, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) had made Mahagat-hbandhan to fraud the people.

Slamming the Gandhi family over slogan of ‘Garibi Hatao’ (eradication of poverty), Mr Fadnavis said that despite the promises of eradication of poverty multiple times, poverty has not been eradicated.

“What would Rahul Gandhi eat to eradicate the poverty?” he questioned.

“It is shocking for me that every day Rahul Gandhi in his rallies promises to eliminate poverty by saying 'Garibi Hatao'. His grandmother and father also used this slogan but were unable to eliminate poverty,” he said.

Mr Fadnavis added, “Then tell me how Rahul Gandhi can eliminate po-verty from India? Congr-ess has ruled this nation for sixty years but is unable to bring change as it always involved in misconduct, corruption and oppressiveness.”

The Rahul Gandhi=led Cong-ress Party’s 2019 election manifesto promised a ‘Minimum Income Guarantee Scheme’ (MIG-S), formally called Nyun-tam Aay Yojana (NYAY), to five crore ‘poorest families’ which would cover 25 crore people by assuring them a guaranteed minimum income of `6,000 per month or `72,000 annually.

Mr Fadnavis asked where would they avail `72,000 promised.

Mr. Fadnavis also claimed the money for the farms, scholarship and Gharkur Yojana are now being transferred directly to the beneficiaries’ accounts.

“Our nation, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is moving towards development. Modi has taken this nation to another level in these five years and initiated several schemes for the development of common people such as Jan Dhan Yojana, Mudra Yojana, Awas Yojana, Smart cities,” said Mr Fadnavis.
