Mumbai: CIDCO will hold a lottery for more than 25,000 homes in December, announced chief minister Devendra Fadnavis while starting the online lottery process for another batch of 14,838 homes on Monday. Mr Fadnavis started the online lottery process on Monday in Mantralaya in the presence of housing minister Prakash Mehta and other dignitaries. Mr Fadnavis said, “The tender process is underway for the construction of another 25,000 homes by CIDCO for which, the lottery will be started in December.”

Mr Fadnavis asked CIDCO to construct a minimum one lakh homes under the PM housing scheme.

“The state government ranks first in competition with other states for implementation of the scheme, with 6.5 lakh homes built across the state till date. The demand is more from the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. MHADA is getting one lakh homes from the PPP model and now affordable homes will be available through various schemes,” he said.

Homes constructed by CIDCO in Taloja, Dronagiri, Kharghar, Ghansoli and Kalamboli area at 11 spots are included in this lottery for 14,838 homes, said CIDCO officials. Of the 14,838 homes, 9,576 homes are for the low-income group. Applications will be received from August 15 to September 16.
