Mumbai: The Leader of Opposition in the state Council, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Dhananjay Munde, said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s condition is like that of Bollywood actor Aamir Khan in the film Ghajini. Mr Munde said that like Aamir Khan’s character, who loses his memory, Mr Modi has also forgotten what he had promised in his speeches before the 2014 general elections.

Mr Munde was speaking on the fourth day of the statewide Nirdhar Parivartan Yatra at Palghar district. The NCP had begun the rally on January 9.

Addressing a rally in Vikramgadh in Palghar district, Mr Munde said that the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) national executive meeting had concluded. In the meeting, Mr Modi had said that the party is proud that they had led a corruption-free government. Now Modiji should tell us what is the Vyapam scam? What is Lalitgate? What is the Rafale deal?

Alleging that 16 ministers of the state government ha-ve looted crores of the public’s money, the NCP leader asked, “Where is your corruption-free India?”

Mr Munde also claimed that the chief minister had stated that the state would be made corruption-free and transparency would be introduced; but on the contrary, more than Rs 90,000 crore has been looted in the state.

The leader also said, “Modiji says he is a chowkidar (watchman) who does not sleep and catches thieves. So the question is how have Lalit Modi, Vijay Mallya and Mehul Choksi run away?”

He added that if Modi Bhakts asked the Prime Minister to listen to his 2014 election speeches, Modi himself would run away from the election campaign.
