Mumbai: Mahim police early on Friday morning arrested two eunuchs after a youngster alleged that they kidnapped and drugged him, later castrating him forcibly. Police said that the victim, Dhananjay Rajbanshi (22), hails from Bihar and is a dancer in Mumbai. The arrested accused - Shabina Qureshi and Sanjana Qureshi - work as part-time dancers and stay at Macchimar Colony in Mahim.

A senior officer from Mahim police station said, "The accused met the victim at an event in Gujarat where they all performed. Soon they became friends and even started performing together.” According to sources, Rajbanshi soon moved in with Shabina and Sanjana in their house in a Mahim slum. Rajbanshi is married and has a two-year-old daughter who stays in Bihar.”

“On Wednesday night, the police control room received a call from the victim who alleged that he had been locked in a room and forcibly castrated. After reaching the spot, we alerted the fire brigade and rescued him," said the officer.

Rajbanshi in his FIR stated that last week, Shabina and Sanjana spiked his drinks and after he fell unconscious, took him to a room in Mumbai central area and castrated him. A source said, “The victim alleged that he woke up and found that his SIM cards had been taken away and the room was locked from outside. He somehow managed to find the SIM cards that were hidden in the house and called the police helpline.”

The police after investigation arrested Shabina and Sanjana from their house in Mahim. “They claim that the victim underwent an operation outside Mumbai and came to them. They said that they had in fact been taking care of him and had locked him in a room to ensure he did not step out and contract infections as his health was frail after the operation,” the officer said.
