Mumbai: Superstar Salman Khan is BMC’s brand ambassador against open defecation, but a fan of ‘Sallu Bhai’ on Saturday night entered Mr Khan’s building in Bandra (west) and used the washroom of the building’s security guards.

The actor’s bodyguards and building’s security staff detained Mohammed Sirajuddin (25), a local Bandra resident, afflicted with psychological disorders and handed him over to the Bandra police.

Police sources said that Sirajuddin was in an inebriated state and was allowed to go after basic interrogation.

According to police sources, Sirajuddin was wandering near Bandstand with a friend in an inebriated state. He wanted to attend nature’s call but could not find any toilet on the Bandstand promenade.

He walked near Mr Khan’s Galaxy Apartments building, Bandra (west) and saw that there were no security guards in sight at the gate. Hence, he entered the building premises and rushed straight to the guard’s toilet on the ground floor.

When the security staff of Galaxy apartment saw Sirajuddin in the loo, they immediately escorted him out of the building premises and started questioning him. Since he was in an inebriated state, the guards alerted the Bandra police and took him to the police station.

Speaking to The Asian Age, Nivrutti Thackeray, senior police inspector of Bandra police station said, “The man brought in by the security guards of Galaxy apartments was allegedly suffering from mental disorders, and hence we decided not to register a complaint against him and left him with a notice.”

While questioning him, the cops learnt that Sirajuddin was allegedly suffering from psychological disorders and so they decided not to take cognisance.

“They left him without registering a complaint against him,” said a policemen from Bandra police station.
