State revokes relaxation on e-tendering
So all party MP/MLAs demanded chief minister Devendra Fadnavis to exempt expenses up to Rs 10 lakh from E-tendering process.

Mumbai: The compulsion of having an e-tender for government works expenses worth more than Rs 3 lakh which was relaxed for MP/MLA funded works up to Rs 10 lakh, has now been withdrawn as per high court's direction. Now E-tendering is must for any work costing more than Rs 3 lakh.
As per policy of the state government E-tendering is compulsory for the all governmental work costing more than Rs 3 lakh. But MPs and MLAs demanded relaxation for the same.
They generally recommend rural or internal roads, toilets, renovation of Samaj Mandir halls and other such works. Few works have expense less than Rs 10 lakh.
If government officer invites tender for these works, it takes a few months and many a times funds remain unutilised throughout the financial year and these funds cannot be carry forwarded in the next year.
So all party MP/MLAs demanded chief minister Devendra Fadnavis to exempt expenses up to Rs 10 lakh from E-tendering process. This limit was enhanced on July 12, 2016.
However, this decision was challenged in a Public interest litigation (PIL) before Nagpur and Aurangabad benches of the Bombay high court.
As per directives issued by the Nagpur bench, government has decided to withdraw the earlier decision and now E-tendering is compulsory for the works costing more than Rs 3 lakh.
It will create hardships and cause delay in the works under MP/MLA funds in the last year of their tenure as Loksabha and assembly elections will be held next year, told sources.
