Mumbai: All registered real estate projects in Maharashtra will soon get mapped on the Geographical Information System (GIS) and can be accessed by home buyers on the Maharashtra Real Estate Regulatory Authority (MahaRERA) website. The new feature will give a peek to home buyers into available projects along with social amenities in the neighbourhood.

“The staff from Maha online and consultants have started the work and the new feature may be available for home buyers in a month,” said a senior ReRa official. Currently, the website of MahaReRa offers to provide information of the project on inputting the registration number. With the GIS system, the home buyer will be able to look for projects which are in his/her area of interest.

“While looking for the flat, if they want to search for the nearest school or hospital, that can be mapped as well with the new system,” added the official.

The projects will appear in a more filtered way as pins on the map.

All projects which are registered with the authority will be updated on the GIS system. Currently, more than 16,000 projects have been registered with MahaRERA in the past one year.
