Mumbai: Mahavitaran has provided electricity in 41,928 villages across the state, and the remaining tribal wadis and padas will be electrified by December 2018 under the Saubhagya Yojana and Din Dayal Upadhyay Gram Jyoti Yojana, said officials of Mahavitaran. The company is supplying power to 1 crore and 38 lakh rural households.

Out of the nearly 1.4 crore households, Mahavitaran is supplying power to 1.37 crore residential consumers in rural areas (98.33 per cent). The remaining 2,34,228 households will be provided electricity under the Yojana and the Deen Dayal Upadhyay Gram Jyoti Yojana for which, work underway, said officials.
