Mumbai: The Bombay high court has rejected the anticipatory bail applications of Mahaakshay alias Mimoh and Yogita Bali, the son and wife of Bollywood actor Mithun Chakravarty, after a woman named them in an FIR registered by the Delhi police. The woman accused Mimoh of alleged rape and cheating, and Bali of allegedly threatening her.

The applications were moved by the duo after a Delhi court heard the complaint by the woman and found it to be on sufficient grounds for a registration of an FIR against them. The HC while rejecting the applications has directed them to approach the concerned court in Delhi to file for anticipatory bail.

A bench of Justice A. S. Gadkari was hearing the anticipatory bail applications of Mr Mimoh and Mrs Bali after a woman from Delhi had claimed to have been all-
egedly raped and cheated by Mr Mimoh, who she indulged in a physical relationship for the past four years as he had promised to marry her.

The complaint further stated that Mr Mimoh had allegedly administered some medicine to her after she became pregnant with their child, after which she suffered a miscarriage.

The complaint against Mrs Bali claims that the yesteryear actor had allegedly threatened the woman of dire consequences if she continued with the relationship with Mr Mimoh.  The mother-son duo approached the Bombay HC seeking anticipatory bail or any interim relief, which would allow them to approach the concerned court in Delhi to apply for the same.
