Mumbai: Residents of Ghatkopar and Kurla are likely to get turbid water supply from May 7 to May 14 as the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) is all set to commission Ghatkopar high-level reservoir tank, which has been repaired recently. The civic body has appealed citizens to drink water after filtering and boiling it.

“Repairs of reservoir tank has been completed and it will be commissioned from May 7. However, there is a possibility of turbid water supply for at least a week after the commissioning. Hence local residents should use water only after filtering and boiling it,” said a senior civic official from the hydraulic department.

In Ghatkopar, areas like Anandgad, Shankar Mandir, Ram Nagar, Hanuman Mandir, Rahul Nagar, Kailas Nagar, Sanjay Gandhi Nagar, Varsha Nagar,   will receive turbid water supply.

In Kurla, areas like Sangharsh Nagar, Khairani Road, Sardar Compound, D’Souza Compound, Aiyappa Mandir Marg, Laxmi Narayan Mandir Marg, Yadav Nagar, Rajiv Nagar, Ahmed Raza Marg, Bhanushali Wadi, Kulkarni Wadi, Loyalka Compound,  Subhash Nagar, will be affected by turbid water supply during this period.
