Mumbai: The Agripada police have arrested a person on Tue-sday for allegedly killing his relative. The police arrested Rajbabu Mansuri for killing Shakeel Sayyed Ali, who was his relative.

Ali, who was working as a housekeeping staff in an Agripada office since eight months, had not reported to work for four days since November 26, following this, his colleague Haidar Abbas Sayyed, approached the police reporting about a corpse found in partially decomposed state in a locked room, from where strong smell was emanating.

Investigation revealed the partially decomposed body was of Ali. His body was sent to the Nair Hospital for post mortem, which revealed that Ali died due to slit throat. Due to severe loss of blood, he succumbed to his injuries, said police.

During investigation, Al-i’s colleagues and friends told police they had spotted him with Mansuri on a day before he went missing. “Based on the technical evidence, we found Ma-nsuri had absconded to Delhi,” said Savlaram Ag-awane, senior police inspe-ctor of Agripada police station.
