Massive fire breaks out near Aarey

Mumbai: A fire broke out in the v-icinity of Aarey Milk Colony on Monday near IT Park in suburban Go-regaon. The spot is an o-pen plot adjacent to Aru-n Kumar Vaidya Marg.

The cause of the fire was unknown at the time of going to the press. According to the information by fire department of the civic body, the fire was ‘level 3’ in nature.

Fire brigade officials stated that the fire was seen speeding towards New MHADA Colony Ne-ar New Dindoshi Green Hill Society in Goregaon (east) after which fire ve-hicles were diverted from Film City towards the area.

The fire brigade control room received the information about the fire in the open space near Aarey Colony at 6.30 pm. The fire brig-ade arrived at the spot within twenty minutes. “Fire engines and two water tankers have been rushed to the spot. Various agencies including the police is being informed about the fire. Efforts are on to put out the flames,” said BMC. Four fire engines were present at the site.

The fire was confined within four kilometres of area and trees and dry leaves were affected.
