MUMBAI: Several students of the second year Bachelors of Science (B.Sc) student of the Mithibai College are being allegedly forced to take a subject that they dropped it as optional due to paucity of seats. After reopening the college and starting the classes for students, they allege that the college is forcing them to drop Zoology subject and choose a subject they want to drop.

The B.Sc students technically have to choose a combination of Chemi-stry-Zoology, Botany-Zoology or Chemistry-Botany while going from first year to second year. However, now, after acce-pting the admissions and starting the classes, the college allegedly are asking students to opt for Zoology as they have limited seats available.

Talking to HoD of Zoology of Mithibai Col-lege Vinayak Dalvie he said, “Zoology is too mu-ch in demand since several years, now that most of the students wants to get into it. However, they fail to understand that every department have seat limitations that needs to be followed.”
