CM ignores Sena, session to be held in Nagpur
The committee appointed by the legislature has approved the proposal.

Mumbai: Despite Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray’s opposition to the move to hold the monsoon session of the legislature in Nagpur instead of Mumbai, chief minister Devendra Fadnavis has given his nod to the same without consulting the Sena chief. The committee appointed by the legislature has approved the proposal. Because of escalating tension between the BJP and Sena, the latter may get aggressive about not cooperating with the BJP for the session, sources said.
With the Manora MLA hostel in Mumbai undergoing redevelopment, the government is facing problems in providing a residential facility to MLAs. Hence, the government has proposed holding the monsoon session in Nagpur. However, Mr Thackeray is opposed to the same and has asked that the session be held in Mumbai only.
Sena leader and industries minister Subhash Desai said, “The government should prepare the plan for the development of Vidharbha instead of simply holding the session in Nagpur. The government should give priority to solving the problems of the people of Vidarbha. We are firm on our stand.”
Despite the opposition from Mr Thackeray, Mr Fadnavis has given his nod to holding the session in Nagpur without discussing the issue with Mr Thackeray. A BJP leader said that as relations between the BJP and Sena have worsened since the Palghar Lok Sabha bypolla, Mr Fadnavis has avoided talking to Mr Thackeray.
