Four minors booked for sodomising 8-year-old boy

Mumbai: Four minor boys allegedly sodomised an eight-year-old boy in Govandi on Sunday afternoon after smoking hookah at a parlour. According to the police sources, the four accused minors had lured the victim by offering hookah and sodomised him in a truck parked at 90 feet road in Shivaji Nagar.

The minor boys have been booked by Shivaji Nagar police station and were detained for questioning. The accused were later sent to a children’s correctional home in Dongri on Monday.

According to a senior police official of Shivaji Nagar police station, the incident took place on Sunday afternoon when the four minor accused, aged between 14 and 17, lured an eight-year-old boy. The accused teenagers and the victim were the residents of the same area in Govandi and used to play cricket together. The police claimed that the victim lied to his parents and said that he was going out to play cricket, but went to a hookah parlour instead.

Speaking to The Asian Age, Bhimashankar Dhole, senior police inspector of Shivaji Nagar police station said, “We have registered a case against the accused, but since this offence includes all minors, we cannot divulge any further details”.

The incident came to light when the boy, in a disturbed state, went home and narrated the incident to his parents, who then approached the Shivaji Nagar police station. The four teenagers, were sent to a children’s correctional home.
