The complaint registered by Kar stated that he runs a jewellery shop in which Patra was employed.
Mumbai: The Pydhonie police have arrested three persons, including a workers of a jewellery shop, who had absconded with ornaments worth Rs 58 lakh after taking them for polishing from a jewellery shop owner.
The accused persons had fled to Midnapore in West Bengal with the ornaments, where they were arrested and valuables worth Rs 50 lakh were recovered from them.
The arrested persons were identified as Kartik Patra (23), Zareshwar Maiti (32) and Pintoo Bhuia (22), who had fled with the valuables belong to Kalyan Kar.
The complaint registered by Kar stated that he runs a jewellery shop in which Patra was employed. “The plan was hatched by other two accused, who lured Patra with the idea of easy money if he helped them execute the plan. He had been worked in the shop for four months,” said Avinash Kanade, senior inspector of Pydhonie police station.
