Manish Bhangale ‘hiding info he had got on fake email address’

Mumbai: The police produced Bhangale before chief metropolitan magistrate R.K.Deshpande, who sent him to police custody till April 6.

The police has mentioned in the remand copy that Bhangale had created a fake email address — mehjbeenshaikh918@gmail.com — of Mehjabeen Shaikh, Dawood’s wife and he is allegedly hiding information that he got on that email address.

Bhangale claimed that he had got an email from Billing@ptcl.net.pk, which is the email address of a Pakistani telecommunication company. But the email received from the said address does not disclose a receiving date.

According to the police, the two emails that Bhangale got from the Billing@ptcl.net.pk were received from the “via.server.npage.de” server but the police has found no connection of this server with the Pakistani telecom company. Bhangale had claimed that he received two emails from the Pakistani company, which disclosed that seven calls were exchanged between Khadse’s mobile number and Mehjabeen Shaikh’s landline number.

However, Bhangale later claimed his email id had been hacked and some emails had been deleted.
