Doctor beaten up by a group, two held
The police has arrested the two accused in the incident based on the CCTV footage, while the others are still absconding.
Berhampore: A doctor was severally beaten up for buying power bank of Mobile at a market complex.
The attacked doctor was admitted at the Amri Hospital and two security guards were arrested for assaulting docotrs and they were remanded for 14 days. The attacked doctor of the Domkal subdivisonalsuper speciaity Hospital Dr. Kuntal Saha said that he went to Prangan market complex at Berhampore near berhampore Busstand on Saturday night to buy a power bank of his mobile set, but shop owners and two security guars surrounded him and started beating with bamboo sticks.
He sustained head, stomach and back injuries in the incident. Locals rescued him and after receiving first aid at Berhampore mecical hospital, he lodged an FIR at Berhampore police station. He was later admitted to Amri Hospital in Kolkata.
