Partha Chatterjee tells cooperatives to beware of ‘corruption trap’

Kolkata: State education minister Partha Chatterjee on Tuesday cautioned co-operatives about getting embroiled in any sort of “corruption”.

“There is danger lurking behind the blossoming of co-operatives. Whenever co-operative societies increased in volume, we have seen them getting dragged into corruption. However, I must admit that many co-operatives have worked with utmost sincerity and dedication resulting in so may co operative groups in Bengal,” Mr Chatterjee said at his inaugural speech at the Co -Operative Fair. The fair on Tuesday will be held till April 14.
