Kolkata: A doctor was arrested by the police in Howrah for allegedly molesting a patient.
The accused, Lakshmiram Jaiswal, was posted at T.L. Jaiswal Hospital in Ghusuri. On Saturday night, he behaved inappropriately with the housewife on the pretext of checking her condition.
She had taken admission on Saturday with the complaint of fever and pain in her stomach. When the victim screamed, the doctor apologised to her and left the ward soon.
She later narrated the ordeal to her husband. A complaint was lodged at Belur police station. Dr Jaiswal was caught on Sunday morning. He was produced at the Howrah court, which however granted him conditional bail.
