Four friends arrested for gang raping minor in Pune

Pune: Four youths, reportedly friends, have been arrested for gang raping a minor girl in Pune. The rape has been confirmed by medical reports.

S.T. Patil, police inspector, Saswad, Pune (rural), said, “Father of the minor girl had registered an FIR against four youths from Saswad for raping his minor daughter at around 1 pm on November 18.”

According to the FIR, the 14-year-old girl was on her way back from school at the time of the incident.

“The complaint said that when he returned home at 7:30 pm on November 18, he found that this daughter had not returned from school by then. This prompted him to register a missing complaint at the Saswad police station. Later in the night, somebody dropped the girl outside her house, after which she narrated the incident to her parents. The FIR was lodged the next day,” the police official added.

The accused in the case include two 16-year-olds, Aadesh Choure (22) and Ajay Khomane (19). One of them had allegedly offered the victim a lift and she was taken to multiple locations where they raped her, before dropping her near to her house.

The police has arrested the four accused and the two minors among them have been sent to a rehabilitation center.
