Four die and two injured in fatal collision on Sakri-Pimpalner in dhule

Three vehicles collided on Sakri-Pimpalner road in Sakri tehsil of Dhule district on Tuesday afternoon.

Nashik: Four persons died, and two others were injured after three vehicles — a truck, an auto and a motorcycle — collided on Sakri-Pimpalner road in Sakri tehsil of Dhule district on Tuesday afternoon.

The Sakri police station sources said that an Ape auto and a motorcycle going towards Pimpalner from Sakri rammed into a truck coming from the opposite direction. The fatal collision took place at 2.15 pm.

The auto was trying to overtake the motorcycle and collided with the truck coming from opposite direction.

Two bike-borne men and two persons travelling in auto died on the spot.

The deceased have been identified as Santosh Nana More (62), Vasant Wairao (68), residents of Dhane village in Sakri tehsil, Santosh Prakash Damre and Eknath Appa Mali died on the spot. The injured persons were taken to the Dhule Civil Hospital. The police said that the injured were not severely wounded in the accident

The Sakri police has  registered a case and further investigations are underway to ascertain details of accident.
