Mumbai biker rams into truck, dies

Nagpur: A young Mumbai biker, who was on a tour across the country, died after he his motorcycle rammed into a stationary truck in Hudkeshwar Nagar in the eastern part of the Nagpur. Jayash Oswal (21), a resident of Sakinaka in Mumbai, was found lying in a pool of blood by a police patrolling squad.

He died before he could be taken to a hospital, the police said. Jayash Oswal had been recording his journey with a GoPro camera, which was installed on his helmet. The police will examine the footage to ascertain how the fatal accident took place.

Manoj Jain, who is step-father of deceased, was tracking his son’s motorcycle using the Global Positioning System (GPS). Mr Jain observed that Jayash’s location hadn’t changed for a long time since Sunday.

The Nagpur city police searched Jayash’s personal belongings and found an address of a house in Sakinaka. The police tried to contact his family in Sakinaka.

The family members were also trying to get in touch with Jayash, when they were informed about the accident by the Sakinaka police officials, who were alerted by Nagpur city police.

A case of accidental death was initially registered at the Hudkeshwar police station. The mother of deceased Rajeshree Jain said Jayash had started his tour from Jammu covering a distance of 1700 km to reach Nagpur and was heading towards Chennai.
