BJP MPs, MLAs must give 6-month account info, says Arvind Kejriwal
Kejriwal calls PM Modi's move a farce.

New Delhi: After Prime Minister Narendra Modi asked BJP legislators to disclose bank transactions since the currency ban, Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal, on Tuesday, said that the PM should in fact seek details for the last six months.
Earlier in the day, Mr Modi asked the BJP MPs and MLAs to submit details of their bank transactions between November 8 and December 31 to the party chief, Amit Shah, — a move intended to counter the Opposition parties’ attempt to run down the Centre’s demonetisation scheme.
Mr Kejriwal alleged that the BJP legislators would have already “taken care of their money” before November 8. “A huge scam has been perpetrated a few days ago in the name of tackling corruption. When the PM announced the move, he informed all of his friends who had black money and they secured their money,” he said on Twitter. The Delhi CM also attacked the Centre on going soft on black money holders. Since days after the Modi government announced scrapping of the high-value currency notes, Mr Kejriwal has been alleging that the move is a scam and that the BJP members were aware that it was going to happen.
Welcoming the decision of the Prime Minister, Leader of Opposition in Delhi Assembly Vijender Gupta on Tuesday said that it has exposed the allegations of Opposition parties regarding depositing of huge amount of money by elected representative of party in their bank accounts. Mr Gupta dared all political parties to do the same, as it will promote transparency in public life.
