National level boxer held near Dwarka, pistol seized
New Delhi: The sleuths of special cell have arrested a 28-year-old rewarded sharpshooter of Ashok Pardhan gang. The accused was a national level boxer.
The accused, identified as Vicky alias Boxer, was a junior national boxing champion and a gold medallist. The police had put a bounty of '50,000 on him. One semi automatic pistol along with two live cartridges have been recovered from his possession.
DCP Sanjeev Yadav said the special cell received a tip that Ashok Pradhan had joined hands with gangster Gogi and roped in Vicky for firing at the sympathisers of opposition gangs in Najafgarh area.
It was further revealed that Vicky had jumped the interim bail in a murder case of a student leader and was threatening the witnesses in his murder case. Acting upon a tip-off, the sleuths apprehended Vicky on Saturday from Mohan Garden near Dwarka.
