New Delhi: In an attempt to put its House in order before the upcoming Assembly polls in the national capital, election in-charges of BJP’s city and Union ministers Prakash Javadekar, Hardeep Puri, and Nityanand Rai will start visiting all the 70 constituencies from the first week of next month.

According to top party sources, the Assembly visit of Mr Javadekar, along with his co-incharges Mr Puri and Mr Rai, will start in the first week of October and all the three leaders will visit the 70 Assembly segments with key focus on assessing BJP’s presence as well selection of strong winnable candidates.

The BJP has appointed Mr Javadekar as the in-charge of Delhi BJP for the Assembly polls scheduled early next year. Mr Puri and Mr Rai have been appointed as co-incharges to help Mr Javadekar to execute poll strategy on ground.

A party insider said that the main focus of visit of all the 70 Assembly segments are to assess the ground situation or reality and seek feedback of local leaders and workers regarding local issues and probable candidates in each of the seats.

“The poll in-charges will also ensure everything is in order in all the Assembly constituencies by containing infighting in the Delhi BJP, which has been at its peak in the last one week with several incidences of violence having been reported from across the city, including one from the state unit headquarters,” he added.
