‘Biking Queens’ conclude 10,000 km trip in city

New Delhi: “Ride for a passion, Ride for a social cause” is the motto of 40 women moptorcyle riders known as ‘Biking Queens’ from Surat comprising of professionals, housewives, and students.

These women recently came to the city after travelling more than 10,0000 km with the message “Sashakta Naari Sashakta Bharat’. They reached the city on August 15 and celebrated the 71st Indepe-ndence Day.

On Monday, they met Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who congratulated them and appreciated their feat. He also discussed their experiences in the expedition.

“We experienced many difficulties along the way. But it was an enriching experience. I would also like to ask all women to step out of their comfort zone and work to achieve their dreams,” said Dr Sarika Mehta, founder of  ‘Biking Queens’.

These woman riders also spread the message of “Beti Bachao Beti Padhao”, “Swach Bharat Abhiyan” along the way.
