Fire breaks out at godown in Rohini

New Delhi: A massive fire broke out at a godown in Rohini’s Sector 21 on Saturday.  As many as 10 fire engines several water tankers were pressed into service to bring the fire under control.

No injury has been reported in the incident so far. The incident came nearly two weeks after four persons were killed in a fire that took place at four-storey factory at the Raja Park factory in Sultanpuri, New Delhi. Mohammad Razi, 20, Mohammad Shamu, 17, Mehbooob Barish, 18, and Ayub, 17, all hailing from Hardoi in Uttar Pradesh, died of suffocation and burn injuries. The police had said.

The four were among the workers who lived in the factory premises. Earlier this year, 17 people, including 10 women, were burnt to death or asphyxiated and 30 others injured in a fire in a plastic warehouse, used as a godown to store firecrackers, in west Delhi’s Bawana area on January 20.
