New Delhi: A joint team of the Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force and Delhi police has busted a gang of Staff Selection Commission (SSC) examination solvers who helped candidates cheat in the exams by using remote access tool softwares like Team Viewer.

The police said that with the arrest of Ajay, Sonu, Gaurav and Paramjeet in a joint raid by UP STF (Meerut Range) and Special Staff North District, an organised racket of cheating has been busted in the online examinations being conducted by Staff Selection Commission. Cash worth Rs 51,83,700 and 10 mobile phones have been recovered from them.

According to the police, the combined high secondary level (10+2) examination are being conducted by Staff Selection Commission for recruitment to the posts of Lower Divisional Clerks and Data Entry Operators. The notification for the examination was uploaded on the website of the commission on 18-11-2017. 

On March 27, UP STF led by deputy SP Brijesh Kumar Singh and inspector Dharmender Yadav informed the special staff of North District that they have information that one Harpal, reportedly working in the Sales Tax Department,, Delhi, is running a cheating racket for the online test of combined higher secondary level examination being conducted by SSC from his residence in Timarpur. Subsequently, a team of officials of UP STF and Delhi police conducted a raid at the given address.
